Meet the Gang

Here is a little more about each of the Lunch Gang members.

luis Luis Glaeser (aka "german"):
Luis is an intern at FoodBank South Africa from Frankfurt, Germany.  He is currently taking a Gap Year in South Africa, and he has only been in South Africa for one week!  Being on a student budget, lunch is usually a home-made sandwich and the occasional canned drink, although most of the time he lives off the company tea and coffee!  His weekly lunch budget for the week: R75 ($10)
tamara Tamara Alexander (aka "indigo child"):
Tamara does most of the donor administration at FoodBank South Africa.  She is also passionate about looking after our planet, and likes to live in harmony with it.  Lunch is usually something homemade and (mostly) healthy, and often includes some green or rooibos ("redbush") tea.  Her lunch budget for the week: R100 ($13)
pele Pele Phakoe (aka "moova"):
Pele is FoodBank South Africa's national logistics manager.  Having to ensure that over 400 tonnes of food gets moved a month is a big task, so Pele eats lunch mostly on the run, buying a sandwich or two from the local deli and a canned drink. His lunch budget for the week: R125 ($17)
david DaviD Jacobs (aka "geek"):
DaviD is FoodBank South Africa's national ICT manager.  Being in IT means having to work odd hours, working on systems when users are not at their desk.  DaviD usually brings in a microwave meal to work, and is known to pop out for a double espresso at a local coffee shop if he has to work late. His lunch budget for the week: R150 ($20)
