A Change of Chairman

E-mail Print
Crispin SonnFor most of the past decade Crispin Sonn has served FoodBank SA and before that Feedback Food Redistribution with integrity, energy, drive and imagination. One of his many roles has been Chairman of the FoodBank SA Board. In October, Crispin asked the Board to accept his resignation as Chairman due to the increasing challenges on his time. Crispin emphasised that his support for the FoodBank SA network remains as strong as ever and he has agreed to continue as a non-executive Director of FoodBank SA. Crispin's decision to step down as Chairman left the Board with large shoes to fill. Happily we were able to identify a candidate with suitably large feet!

Bishop Malusi Mpumlwana has accepted the invitation from the Board to act as the Company's non-executive Chairman. Malusi is well known for his integrity, intellect and stature. Quite aside from his numerous contributions to South African society, Malusi was an early advocate of the formation of the FoodBank SA network, and is on the Board of Members. Malusi has worked tirelessly (and voluntarily) to secure finances for the network. His efforts have been critical in our progress to date in securing funding from, among others, the national government.
