FoodBank's Naomi Johnson enjoying an in-house sandwich jam.A 'Sandwich Jam' is a sandwich making event – a fun-filled and socially responsible team building activity where groups work together to try and make as many sandwiches as possible in a limited time. Afterwards, the sandwiches are distributed to the hungry via our agencies.
For organisations and schools who would like FoodBank SA to arrange a Sandwich Jam on their behalf, we've developed an all-inclusive package starting at just R200 per person.
If you are considering arranging your own Sandwich Jam, independently of FoodBank SA, then please also read our guide to independent Sandwich Jams.
Basic Package and Pricing
Basic Package:
Starting at R200 per person, the basic package covers everything we think you need for a Sandwich Jam lasting 40 minutes. All you need to do is (a) agree with us when and where, and how many people will be taking part, and (b) send out the invitations!
The basic package price applies to Sandwich Jams held Mon-Fri, between 8am and noon, exlcuding public holidays. We recommend you schedule your Sandwich Jam for a week-day morning, as it greatly increases the probability of the sandwiches being collected, distributed and eaten on the same day.
We can arrange your Sandwich Jam either 'on-site' at a foodbank or 'off-site' at your preferred venue.
Prices:
On-Site: We can accomodate 20 to 40 people 'on-site' at one of our foodbanks at a basic package price of R200 per person (excluding VAT).
Off-Site: We can organise a Sandwich Jam 'off-site' at any suitable venue within 20km of one of our foodbanks for a minimum of 20 people. Basic package pricing (excluding VAT) is as follows;
|
Number of People |
Price per Person |
|---|---|
| 20-40 | R240 |
| 41-100 | R220 |
| 101+ | R200 |
